When any content contradicts the self-regulation code signed by a provider of audiovisual communication services, the CNMC is able to require cessation of the practices that are contrary to the regulations.
In this way, we are able to require the provider immediately to conform to the contents of the provisions from the self-regulation code, or else terminate their broadcasting.
If the contents that violate the regulations are related to advertising that is not produced by the provider of audiovisual communication services, this will not result in administrative liability. However, the provider will be required to stop broadcasting that commercial communication upon first request from the CNMC, or from any other self-regulation body to which it belongs.
