The work of CNMC does not end when we impose conditions, commitments, and sanctions. After publishing the corresponding resolutions or agreements, we initiate a monitoring mechanism to ensure that these obligations are fulfilled.

Consequences of non-compliance

Non-compliance with the adopted resolutions or agreements is a very serious infringement of the Competition Defense Law, which may result in:

• Fines of up to 10% of the total turnover of the non-compliant company in the fiscal year prior to the imposition of the fine
• Coercive fines of up to 12,000 euros/day, in order to enforce compliance with the resolution
• Order of deconcentration, in case of non-compliance with the conditions/commitments to which it was subordinated
