Requirements

When content contradicts the self-regulation code subscribed by the audiovisual communication service provider, the CNMC can require the cessation of practices contrary to the regulations.

Thus, we can require the provider to immediately adapt the content to the provisions of the self-regulation code or to cease its broadcast.

If the content that violates the regulations refers to advertising, unrelated to the audiovisual communication service provider, the provider will not incur administrative responsibility. However, they must cease broadcasting that commercial communication upon the first request from the CNMC or another self-regulation body to which they belong.
