We promote the proper functioning of the airport market by supervising the conditions of access to infrastructures, particularly airport charges.
Aena, S.A., S.M.E. (AENA), manages and operates general interest airport services in Spain. The annual updates of its charges must comply with the provisions of Law 18/2014 and Aena must communicate them to the CNMC for supervision.
Additionally, at the CNMC we ensure the transparency of the consultation procedure between the airport operator and the airline associations that use the airports, and we resolve conflicts in this sector.
